Lights, Camera, Action!

Discover the machine enhancements built into Epilog Laser’s Fusion Edge and Fusion Pro Laser Series

“Lights. Camera. Action!” Most people hear this phrase and associate it with something heard on a Hollywood movie set. But by incorporating the most popular and sophisticated machine features and enhancements, Epilog Laser is bringing this well-known saying to the forefront of the laser industry with our Fusion Edge and Fusion Pro Laser Series.

Lights

Imagine a worktable bursting with light, allowing you to clearly see your engraving and cutting job as it is happening. That’s exactly what we’ve added to the Fusion Edge and Fusion Pro series. Whether your table is 24” x 12” (610 x 305 mm), 24” x 24” (610 x 610 mm), 36” x 24” (914 x 610 mm), or 48” x 36” (1219 x 914 mm), we’ve incorporated dozens of LED lights that not only give you a crystal-clear view of the engraving/cutting area, but also allow you to better see machine parts and components, making routine maintenance a breeze.

Also lighting your path to an incredible engraving/cutting experience is our 7-inch LED touchscreen that allows you to select between jobs, auto focus the laser, rerun jobs at the touch of a button, save jobs to the laser, and more. It also includes a job trace feature that lets you quickly see where the engraving/cutting job will appear on your material.

Camera

Epilog’s IRIS™ Camera System is an absolute game-changer that helps both beginners and seasoned operators set up their artwork and be up and running faster than ever before, and it comes standard on both the Fusion Edge and Fusion Pro Laser Series.

This revolutionary tool allows laser operators to see a real-time image of the engraving table and drag and drop artwork, ensuring graphics and text engrave exactly where they’re supposed to. This comes in exceptionally handy especially on uniquely shaped or one-of-a-kind items, and it also helps cut down on project re-runs and wasted material.

The compact Fusion Edge 12 features one overhead camera in the system, while the Edge 24 and Edge 36 include two.

The IRIS™ Camera System in all three machines in the Fusion Pro Laser Series feature two overhead cameras, along with an added camera at the lens assembly that can be used for finding registration marks on preprinted pieces.

Action

The Fusion Edge and Fusion Pro machines all feature 5g acceleration capabilities. What does that mean for you? It means your machine can get to top speeds faster, which equates to increased productivity and throughput.

Couple the Fusion Edge’s 120 inches per second (3.05 m/s) engraving speeds with incredibly precise artwork placement capabilities, and you’ll be up and lasering in no time. Step up to the Fusion Pro Series and you’re looking at 165 inches per second (4.2 m/s) engraving speeds and your laser will be in action even faster!
